Here's a shot of some of the kids who have taken the pledge to live drug-free lives.
In a speech titled "
This is Scientology," Mr.
David Miscavige pointed out that despite our high level of science and technology, we face tremendous personal problems today, not the least of which is the high proportion of our youth turning to drugs.
What the Drug-Free Ambassadors are doing is a real service to their communities.

Scientology Churches in Australia
The Open Directory Project provides a listing for the
Scientology churches in AustraliaEarly in the 1950's during the first "Dianetics boom"
Scientology and
Dianetics started spreading throughout the English-speaking world. Australia was one of those countries and, 56 years later,
Scientology is expanding as never before with new, beautiful churches being located and renovated to keep up with the growth of the movement and expand the churches' services to their communities.
Scientology Events
Some interesting events held in the USA:
"While perhaps best-known as the founder of the most vital and rapidly growing religious movement on Earth,
L. Ron Hubbard also lived a diverse, multifaceted and exciting life, and ultimately delineated solutions for all he found wrong in the world around him. He still defies any simple categorization. And the results of his work are today benefiting more people than ever before.
"Thus it was fitting to the occasion that
Mr. David Miscavige, who knew and worked with
L. Ron Hubbard, offered the audience a sense of what continues to flow from Mr. Hubbard’s works — increased abilities and spiritual freedom, more harmonious relationships, and bettered conditions throughout society."

Clearwater Freedom MagazineAnother interesting article:
"Saturday, November 2, 2003, the Church of Scientology of Johannesburg opened the doors of its new headquarters in Kensington, the hub of Scientology activity in South Africa. More then 1,400 guests and well-wishers — government and religious leaders, human rights champions, celebrities and professionals, church members and friends — came from all over Africa and from many countries to celebrate the landmark dedication.
"The event was capped by the appearance of senior Scientology executive
Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of Religious Technology Center, custodian of the religious scriptures of Scientology. "
"Mr.
David Miscavige’s presence to dedicate and open the new church was significant, both for him, personally, as a first-time visitor to the country, as well as for the parishioners of the 45-year-old Johannesburg church. 'It is my honor to address you, to walk in a land where L. Ron Hubbard laid so many milestones, and on this, your milestone day,' he stated. "

Keeping up with the Scientology News
I like to stay up on the news around the world. One thing I have learned from living in the US is that you can become very insular in terms of world news. Australia and NZ tend to be more international for some reason.
As human rights is also something I follow, I picked up this snippet from this
Scientology Today page.
International Scientology NewsDenmark A group of human rights and religion experts, including the Human Rights Campaign Director of the
Church Scientology International European Public Affairs and
Human Rights Office, brief the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Opinion on the responsibility of media to promote an atmosphere of religious tolerance in Denmark.
I also like to track what is happening with the
Scientology Volunteer Ministers, so their news is always of interest. For instance in this photo from Pondicherry.
