Did you see the article in the Sydney Morning Heraly about the crocodile?
Happy birthday, Eric
Corey Mead feeds Eric a chocolate cake, crafted into a replica of the official Rugby World Cup ball, as a gift for his 57th birthday.
Eric, a five-metre, 700-kilogram, man-eating saltwater crocodile had a special meal yesterday as World Cup fever gripped the Australian Reptile Park near Sydney.
For his 57th birthday, his keeper, Corey Mead, fed him a chocolate cake, crafted into a replica of the official Rugby World Cup ball.
And daring members of the public, such as Wallaby fan Craig Adams, went into Eric's pen to feed him tidbits, including chickens (whole ones of course).
Eric has had a chequered past. He killed and ate two people before being captured in far northern Australia in 1987.
He was moved to a wildlife farm where he killed another crocodile while mating.
He is no less aggressive now, making short work of his cake and chicken.
The opening match of the tournament, which may involve some biting, but no crocodiles, will be between reigning world champions, the Wallabies, and Argentina on October 10.
